Each year I keep forgetting to draw something appropriate for October and this year I remembered! I was inspired by some photos my husband took of the local zombie walk a few years ago. Appetizing?
Here is yesterday's ink drawing. It's the under-drawing for a painting I am working on for a friend. I had initially made an error in laying out the perspective on the foreground elements and had to revisit it yesterday which I followed up by inking in my scanned changes over the buildings.
There are two major elements I left out because they would give away too much. :)
Here is today's sketch. I was a little tired after a day of errands so sat down to watch The Lone Ranger with the hubby. By the time we were done watching the movie, I was quite zonked so the only idea that came to mind was the cute carnivorous rabbits that reminded me fondly of the Monty Python rabbits so this is what I chose. On another note, I don't think I'll use gel pens for drawing again because I found it hard to control...or maybe I'm just too tired.
Below is today's sketch.
I just found out about #Inktober where you draw something new in ink everyday for the month of October and I decided to join in. We'll see how long I last. I missed Day 1 but here are my pen portrait sketches for Oct 2nd and 3rd. Can you guess who they are? Cheers!
